New Adapter serves dual purpose for Atmel® 2-wire Serial EEPROM
SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 15, 2002 - Emulation Technology, Inc. (ET), the industry’s leading manufacturer and marketer of Adapters, Sockets and Interconnect Solutions Solutions has expanded its broad line of chip-level signal access tools with the introduction of its MAP Programming Adapter™. The adapter was designed to meet the needs of design engineers testing the Miniature Array Package (MAP) which has recently been introduced by Atmel® as an alternative to the MSOP (Miniature Small Outline Package) and provides a lead-less package capable of accommodating a bigger die.
The MAP Programming Adapter™ accommodates the Atmel® AT24C01A/02/04/08/16 2-wire Serial EEPROM (Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read-only Memory), low-density devices which are manufactured for many industrial and commercial applications requiring low-power and low-voltage operation.
The adapter's top-loading, burn-in socket design readily meets the needs of design engineers looking for a quick and easy MAP programming adapter solution. Its space-saving 8-pin base accommodates engineers' programming needs and eliminates the necessity to create a cumbersome workaround. The MAP Programming Adapter™ serves a dual role as the lead mapping enables it to be used for MAP prototyping testing.
Price and Availability
The MAP Programming Adapter™, part number AS-08-08-01MAP-3, is priced at $182.00, and can be shipped in 3-5 days. For more information about the MAP Programming Adapter™, please visit our MAP Programming Adapters web page.
