The new socket and the new prototyping adapters are designed to support the new Ericsson Bluetooth ROK 104 001 MCM. The second-generation module has a footprint 70% smaller than the original ROK101 device and is used in products like PDA's and cell phones.
ET's Bluetooth MCM Production Socket's special surface mount footprint provide easy mounting to printed circuit boards; eliminates damage to valuable PCB's, and promotes easy insertion and removal of the Bluetooth modules for development, debug, upgrade, replacement and repair. The Bluetooth MCM Prototyping Adapters' provide developers with options beyond surface mounting, and allow the adapter to be plugged into standard prototyping boards.
