Custom IC Development Sockets
Our "Custom Development Sockets" are custom designed to meet your requirements. These sockets are available for all package styles: uBGA, BGA, CSP, MLF/QFN, SOP, QFP, modules, die and custom packages. They are available for any package size, pin/ball count and pitch down to 0.3mm. The socket's contact element is optimized for the application. Various contact elements are available: spring-probe, elastomer, capped spring, PCB embedded contact, etc. Custom designs give a multitude of options, including higher bandwidths, lower contact forces, meeting z-height requirements, etc. Please contact us today for a solution that meets your requirements!
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Can be custom designed and manufactured for any standard or non-standard package, for which an off-the-shelf socket does not exist, or the existing socket is not suitable for the user's specifications
- Offer single- or double-ended spring-probe contacts which combine long life, low profile, and excellent electrical properties such as short electrical lengths and low inductance and capacitance
- Pogo pin sockets provide an optimum socketing solution for next generation IC-packages (BGA, LGA, MCM, Hybrid, NCTB, etc.)
- Also offer elastomer fabrics as an alternative contact. Elastomer sockets allow the design of a low profile socket. Very short electrical paths and low inductance and capacitance is an inherent property of elastomer sockets, which makes them ideal for high frequency applications
- Alternatively, can be manufactured with capped spring, PCB embedded compliant pads, and other contacts.
- Various IC retention mechanisms (lids) available, including clamshell, screw-top, thumb-clasps, etc.
- Wide operating temperature ranges, variable contact forces, multi-pitch packages, and other special requirements can be accommodated.
